cornell notes summary 11/3/11

obj. SWBAT-discuss global impacts of probability 
-find probability given in data sets
-identify key principles
Today we did a do now it was simple but kinda hard to identify but then i recieved help from sarah but as Mr.sudovsky likes to call it "grado" but still WE got it wrong it was actually "sample space" and then we solved it but i didn't get it so yeah but i know that later on I will get it just in time.

Well we discussed on our article that we did for homework and then from there we discussed how can we solve the problem of people having more than one child.For example just like china woman's can't have more than 1 child in China.The funny part was that Ms.Ried entered and we were talking about how can we kill the baby's if we ran out of resources so then she entered and then she's like "your not doing nothing to my baby" you know because she's gonna have a baby.So that was pretty much it! ;D ;D ;D

cornell notes summary 11/1/11

obj.SWBAT:differentiate between probability and chance 
Today we did notes on probability and chance for Mr.Sudovsky is kinda like a good way to refresh our memory so it can be in our head so we can get used to seeing it. We did lots of notes and questions and practices, mostly the whole piriod we spent our time on the notes and questions and practices (I am saying it as a good way not a bad way).We also learned definitions like PROBABILITY-is a measure of how likely it is for an event to happen and, CHANCE- is how likely it is that something will happen. we also learned that a chance we use percents and a probability a fraction and that's pretty much what we did today well bye bye ^-^

cornell notes summary 10/31/11

Today we went through a new lesson and it was POBABILITY and to prcatice the lesson we used m&m's for it.What we had to do was to count the total of all the m&m's and then answer some questions like whats the probility of you getting the color green so i had 19 m&m's in total and i had 5 m&M'S in total in the color green so then the fractions gona be 5/19 so thats an example that i had.;D ;D ;D

today we did our do now worksheet and its due tomorrow but i need no presure i think i'm getting better at scale factors because in the starters i had WAY troubles but then i got together with Ms.Freeman and now i'm better now so yeah.Also we watched a video on this guy who showed us how to do scale factors but it was the long version of it but i rather do it like Ms.Freeman showed me becauuse if i learn it the other way it will just make me confused again. ;D ;D ;D ^-^

well today we reviewed back into our homework till i found out i left it in my locker but i don't get it it its  right there in school its like if its in my house or something i mean if i were a teacher i would be like go and get it i mean it dosent take that long to open ur locker get it and go back to class but anyways also till we hit a bump on the rode becuase some people didn't do there commercial project it looked like if i didn't do it but i did but i printed it out because  it wouldint let me send it to Mr.sudovsky but i am gona try to work things out ANYTHING TO GET MY GRADES UP!!!!!

Today we did a do now on the bored i thought i had it right but i didn't i had it wrong so like what Mr.sudovsky said "NO BUENO" but yeah but that's life cant do nothing bout it :(  but anyways we also have homework (man work again!) but like i said that's life the point of the homework is to choose a picture of our comic strip the comic strip we have is the homework for art class so we choose a pic from there and draw it in a little square in the same sheet we had for homework yesterday and then once that's done we transfer the little picture on to the back of the paper and we do a grid on it and transfer the little pic to a big pic on the back. :)

today we had a do now i almost got it it right but i was really close, but we had homework and it was work from a website called brain pop. we watched a video there and with the video it ca,e with a work sheet and we had to do it. the do now was alright kinda hard kinda easy but i almost got it right thanks to my notes i had in my note book we chacked it and i almost got it it right till there was another answer to go with and it was 3 1/3 but that really sucked for me :/ :( but our assignment was to work on that worksheet for homework that sucks too but hey thats school gotta do it rather u like it or not MAN!!! ;p :\

cornell notes summary 10/17/11

Today we did a worksheet i think it was called moveable words the trick was that each math equation had a word on the bottom of the question and on the bottom of the sheet there was a bunch of numbers in squares some numbers had negative numbers but they were from both so once we answer one equation and have the answer we look at the bottom of the sheet and look if our answer is there and if it we put the word that was on the bottom of the question and put it under the answer we saw on the bottom of the sheet and once you have the whole sentence your good. now all i need is Mr.sudovsky to grade it hopefully its correct. i dont think there was a objective though becuase there was no lesson :) so yeah that was what we did during class. tiji!! ^-^ xD

obj:SWBAT learn how to use excel or spread sheet to orginize data
Today we learned how to use a spread sheet for our commercial project to orginize our info in a spread sheet Mr.sudovsky showed us also what to put in a spread sheet and how to adjust it. We also had a review for the round table worksheet but i missed and skiped some becuase they were pretty difficult for me so i was hoping my teacher could help me he explained things i skiped and i did learned some questions i skiped. at first i was freaking out of how to get a spreadsheet but then i asked my sister and then she said that we did have it and ahe showed me and i was relived.

cornell note summary 10/07/11

today all we did was test unfortunately we didn't score high grades only like i dont know 2 people past it but the rest didn't so i guess we are still stuck in that topic. i guess we need more practice more questions and more paying attention. once we were reviewing it i was like man these were super easy!!!! like this one that was like 
5x-4= and me so stupid that i couldint even get it all we needed to do is 5x4=20 and all you needed to do is add the negative sighn in the answer so it would be -20 but no i have to be so stupid that i got it wrong. of cource Mr.sdovsky was really disapoited in us and us to but i guess we didnt try hard enough on it :( worce part is thatb its going on to our report cards but i know that next time i am really gona try to do better next time no matter how long it takes like i did when i studyed for my science quiz i studied soooo hard that i got a 90 i only missed 1 and i do all my homework so yea i think i got a really good grade hopefully if i dont then i wont understand how i got it :p maybe i would have to talk to the teacher about this. i know that i would try this time i really would its just maybe i wasin't ready enough im getting toutoring with Mr.sudovsky on tuesdays in the morning and after school on tuesdays i haave toutoring with Ms.freeman its just i dont know i do good on my do now's (some of them) but on my test its like i freeze up but i guess thats life got to live with it but not the failing though hahahaha ;D :) :/

cornell notes summary 10/06/11

today we were doing a do now today till we got up to #3 i wasin't here for the entire class becuase i was at this reading thing they called me for. so thats why but i was there when we got to number 3. it was about the scale factor that we did. it was difficult at first for me me but when the other stuents said that they didn't understand Mr.sudovsky had to teach it again for us so he explained it for us and little by little i started to get it but i nedd a little more practice on it so i guess thats a good way to go. also im trying to get all the things i learned in my head becuase the report cards are coming but in me i have faith in god that i am gonna do fine on it i am so positive and sure and confident for it :) ;D <3

cornell notes summary 10/05/11

today we had a do now the problems were 3 5/9- 4 7/8  and it = -1  23/72 but i got it wrong so yeah :( but i did get #2 right becuase all of the toutoring training i have been practicing a lot so i got that right but i use it in a long way not a short way but all i care is that i get it right i don't care about the shorter way as long as i get it right im good :) we also did some notes i think it was called SF but i don't really know what it means but Mr. sudovsky told us that they are 8 ways to write an equation for example would be 3/9= 5/x the 8 ways to write it would be 1)3/9=5/x 
2)9/3=x/5
3)5/x=3/9
4)x/5=9/3
5)x/9=5/3
6)9/x=3/3-
7)5/3=x/9
8) 3/5=x/9
those are some ways to do that problems only 8 ways 
like there are two rectangles  one small one and one big one  the little one has its length as 5 and its width as 
then there is the big rectangle the length would be X and the width would be 9 so then we make an equation like B/B= A/A so then the X would be the letter B on the denominator and then the 9 would go on the numerator B then 5 would be the denominator A and the 3 would be the numerator A. The reason its A and B is becuase the small rectangle is rectangle A and the big rectangle is rectangle B.   ;D :)

cornell notes summary 10/04/11

today we did a do now it was easy and this time i got them right yay!! STICKER IN MY HEAD MR.SUDOVSKY. well anyways yeah also i had toutoring after school with Ms. Freeman and man i started to get a lot of stuff i got really happy that i wanted to scream out loud. its like little by little i start getting pre-algebra i'm the kind of person who learns little by little like now but when its really easy i get it fast. i am kinda the opposite like there are 2 ways the easy way and the hard way but SOMETIMES the harder way is easier for me.today i felt like if i was smart i hope i feel like this some other day like i was today ^-^ =D

summary 10/03/11

today we did a do now the problem was 3 5/7+4 2/3 so what i did was that i turned both of the mixed numbers into improper fractions and then once i turned them into improper fractions i had to find the LCD of the 2 denominators then i would do equivallent  fractions to the improper fractions like 3 5/7=26/7 that is an improper fraction then the other would be 14/3 then the LCD would be 21 becuase 7x3=21 so thats the LCD then i would do equivalent fractions to the improper fractions like 26/7and /21 and 7x3=21 so what you do to the top you do to the bottom. unfourtuneately i got it wrong i missed one part of it.

yesterday we did a game i wasin't really sure what was it called but the goal to the game was to role the 3 dice's and u have 3 #'s and we have a big chart of #'s the game was to try to find out a equation that equalls a # in a chart that connects a # that is colored in red (I am not really good at explaining things by the way :/ )

 today we scanned two bar codes then wrote about them and how it can help math. Then we had to do this worksheet that talked about integers in the world and we had to solve it. Also we had to do homework is do this summary in our web folio and do blue prints for the greenhouse  ;D :) ;p
